Arsen Avakov: Humanitarian aid for SES from Italy goes directly from the airport to the affected areas of Ukraine.
1 July 2020Ukraine has received humanitarian aid from Italy to overcome the consequences of the floods. Due to severe weather conditions in Ivano-Frankivsk, a special flight from Rome landed in Lviv.
The Italian Republic has handed over special equipment and gear for Ukrainian rescuers who are involved in emergency response in western regions of Ukraine.
Italian humanitarian aid includes motor pumps (floating and mobile), boats, power plants, chainsaws, life jackets, fire hoses, tents, and other specialized equipment and outfit. All this will be sent to the most affected areas of the Ivano-Frankivsk region to help the population.
“Plane with equipment for SES is already in Lviv! The humanitarian aid from the Government of Italy on the sum of EUR 360 thousand are sent directly from the airfield to affected regions to overcome the consequences of floods! Thank you for your support!” – wrote Arsen Avakov on his Twitter.
At night from 30.06.2020 to 01.07.2020, the second special flight from Italy arrived in Ukraine, delivering the second part of the humanitarian aid.
