Arsen Avakov: Ukraine can send a team of doctors to Italy to share experience in fighting the pandemic.
1 April 2020Today, on April 1, at a daily meeting on combating the spread of coronavirus, headed by the President of Ukraine, the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov informed that Italy had asked Ukraine for help. Italy needs medical workers.
During the meeting, Volodymyr Zelensky said that it would be good to provide Italy with a team of several medical specialists before the disease reaches its peak in Ukraine.
“Medics will return home with invaluable experience in fighting the pandemic. However, we must ensure their complete safety and the best working conditions in Italy”, – stressed the President.
Moreover, Italy experiences a shortage of disinfectants due to the aggravation of the coronavirus epidemic. Therefore, the Minister of Internal Affairs also suggested sending to Italy a batch of alcohol for medical needs.
