On April 17, the Minister of the Internal Affairs held working meetings with Aaron Wess Mitchell, the Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, and James A. Walsh, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
“We have discussed with Mr. Mitchell political issues, namely, the de-occupation plan for Donbass and the cooperation of other countries with the aggressor country. I am grateful to the US State Department for its tough, incorruptible position on the construction of the Nordstream-2 gas pipeline. The reliability of international partners on this issue is an important component of countering Putin’s hybrid war with the whole world!”, – stated Arsen Avakov.
The Minister noted that with James Walsh they had agreed on further joint plans for the reform of the National Police of Ukraine. The parties will focus on the NPU criminal bloc, countering drug trafficking and border security.
