To cross the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea will be possible only through the checkpoint Chongar. It was announced today, on September 6, 2018, by the Minister of the Internal Affairs.
The head of MIA stated that due to the dangerous environmental situation at the Titan plant, located near the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea, a decision was made to suspend for some time the entry and exit through checkpoints Kalanchak and Chaplinka.
“To preserve the life and health of the border guards and citizens moving through the checkpoints, we decided to close the Kalanchak and Chaplinka checkpoints temporarily. Passage of citizens and vehicles through these checkpoints will be permitted only in urgent cases”, – said Arsen Avakov.
The SBSU informed that the border guards would continue to serve in the temporarily closed checkpoints. To cross the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea will be possible only through the Chongar checkpoint
